Inter-Tribal Pantry teams up with Ginter Farms to deliver Bison meat to the American Indian Academy of Denver, Adams 12 Five Star Schools, Jefferson County Public Schools and the Greater Denver Indigenous Community
The Grinding Stone collective team is happy to announce we are part of the 2021 recipients of the Chinook Fund's Another World is Possible Grant! With their generous support, we’ve been able to continue our First Foods programming, including 4 classes on Indigenous Colorado food ways. The Inter-Tribal Pantry was able to distribute thousands of pounds of food, including two female bison's from Ginther Farms―around 2000lbs worth of indigenous meat―from Kansas to Tall Bull Memorial Colorado to be shared with Indigenous Families and Children of the American Indian Academy of Denver, Adams 12 Five Star Schools, Jefferson County Public Schools and the Greater Denver Indigenous Community.
We were also able to deliver PPE such as handmade masks via Corn Maiden Designz and hand sanitizers via Lakota Body Care for houseless/Indigenous people in the Denver Area.
